MEET

BRIAN MONTGOMERY

Lieutenant Colonel Brian Montgomery (Ret) is a combat veteran, proven fighter, and lifelong defender of America. A Ranger qualified Infantry Officer and graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Brian served in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, deploying to Iraq, Haiti, and Poland.
 

From fighting terrorist networks in Iraq, to leading humanitarian missions in Haiti, to deterring Russian aggression in Eastern Europe, Brian’s leadership has been tested in the toughest environments and he has never failed his team or his mission.

A devoted husband and father of two, Brian and his wife Carrie have called Savannah home for nearly a decade. Now, he is ready to take that same fighting spirit to Congress, standing with President Donald J. Trump to defend our borders, protect our freedoms, and put America First.

HE WILL CHAMPION:

The 1st District is home to Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, critical pillars of America’s defense. Brian will fight for consistent defense funding, modernized capabilities, and full support for our service members and military families. We must honor our veterans and ensure they receive the care, benefits, and respect they’ve earned. When America projects weakness, the world grows more dangerous. Peace is only possible through strength. We must reinvest in our military, restore American leadership on the world stage, and stand ready to deter aggression at home and abroad.

NATIONAL SECURITY

Reckless federal spending has fueled inflation, raised grocery costs, and added trillions to our national debt, creating a burden on hardworking Americans. Brian will work to cut wasteful programs, strengthen oversight of federal agencies, and push for a balanced budget that restores fiscal discipline and protects the future for the next generation.

Brian believes in the enduring principles that have made America the greatest nation on earth: faith, family, and freedom. He will stand up for the sanctity of life, protect religious liberty, and defend parents’ rights to raise their children free from government interference. Our Founding Fathers built this Republic on timeless truths, and Brian will work every day to ensure those values are preserved for future generations.

CONSERVATIVE VALUES

The Port of Savannah is one of the busiest in the country, and it should be an engine for jobs, innovation, and fair trade. Brian will support policies that grow manufacturing and strengthen supply chains so we aren’t dependent on China and other foreign adversaries. Just as importantly, agriculture remains the backbone of our rural communities.  Farmers in the 1st District feed America. Brian will fight to cut burdensome regulations, open new markets, and ensure our farmers have the resources to compete and thrive.

JOBS, MANUFACTURING, AND AGRICULTURE

Crime and fentanyl are devastating families and communities across Georgia. Brian will push for tougher penalties on traffickers, stronger border enforcement to stop the flow of fentanyl, and more support for local law enforcement. He will treat this crisis with the urgency it demands by maintaining a secure border to stop the flood of lethal drugs, holding traffickers accountable, and expanding treatment options in our communities.
